Fundraiser & Art Exhibition in Solidarity with the revolution in Sudan
Sudan is experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis, with the world’s deadliest famine in 40 years and 26 million people in emergency starvation. Driven by Arab supremacy and anti-Black racism of military powers, this crisis, exacerbated by imperial powers, demands urgent action. As organizers, we are committed to echoing the call that “none of us are free until all of us are free” from the belly of the beast.
Join us this Friday for an evening of community and art, standing in solidarity with the proud people of Sudan. Featured is a gallery of pieces by Sudani and New York-based artists, a DJ set, and merch centered on the liberation of Sudan and the people’s revolution. We are grateful to offer most art pieces for sale as part of the fundraiser. While some artists will be in attendance, others, including Alsarah, will not be present with their art installations.
All funds raised, including all net proceeds from merchandise sales, will be donated to Sunduq Al-Sudan, a grassroots mutual aid organization supporting and amplifying the lifesaving work done by civilian networks across the country.
